EUsalt family grows bigger

EUsalt welcomed at the beginning of 2022 a new member: Sarerom.

Sarerom is a pure dried salt products manufacturer based in Romania. After more than 70 years, Sarerom has restarted the tradition of salt mining in Turda, which dates back to the Roman era. During Ancient times, the current location of Turda was named Potaissa, which grew to become one of the urban centers of Dacia. Salt mining in Turda is a centuries’ old practice, starting with 1075, when Castrum Turda was first mentioned. 

Sarerom expects to provide over 220,000 tons of pure white salt to their national and international customers. Sarerom salt products are used in different sectors including food production, flavouring food water treatment, animal feed, chemical industry, de-icing.
